Luoyang Railway Station
The city of Luoyang has two major railway stations, namely, Luoyang Railway Station and Longmen Railway Station. Originally built in 1908 and expanded in 1992, Luoyang Railway Station is located at the northern tip of the Luoyang axis. Now this old railway station is used for T and K trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Lanzhou, Shanghai, Urumqi, Taiyuan and more.Luoyang Longmen Railway Station is designed for high speed trains and D trains (CRH) mainly coming from Xian and Zhengzhou at present. Longmen Railway Station is located at the southern tip of Luoyang axis, about 7km to south of city center of Luoyang, 5km to the north of Longmen Grottoes. In near future, the high speed trains from Longmen Railway Station will be linked to Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Wuhan.
If you are arriving or leaving Luoyang by taking T trains or K trains (not high speed trains or D trains), you are supposed to use Luoyang Railway Station, the old railway station in the downtown Luoyang. So don't be confused with the new railway station - Longmen Railway Station which is located 7km south of the city center of Luoyang.
