My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a wendy wu tour and found it is very comfortable. The beds were clean and the usual hard mattress supplied in Chinese hotels. It had a good location fright on the Peach Blossom River and was easy walking distance to the shops and night markets. We would recommend this hotel to stay. Breakfasts were pleniful and selve serve buffet

Stayed at this hotel as part of a Wendy Wu tour. The hotel has a great location by the river, and the rooms, bedlinen and bathroom were all very clean, just a bit jaded. Breakfast was a bit basic, but ok. From the hotel main entrance turn right, cross the road, go over the bridge and follow the river to the right and you will come to the Elephant Trunk scenic hill (25 yuan). If you turn left at the main road instead of following the river you will come to the Lakes area. The lake on the right has the twin pagodas and the lake on the left has the Crystal bridge, old city gate and teahouse. Both of these are great walks, especially at night. The main road also has a huge night market. Finally, if you go out of the hotel and turn left, follow the path to the road, cross the road and take the first right and you will come to a local market - very interesting but not for the squeamish!!

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel in August. It was acceptable as far as a budget, tourist class hotel goes. The location was great - in walking distance to restaurants, night markets and the Guilin pedestrian street. The rooms do smell damp - like mould - and we found mould on the tiles in the washroom, but not a significant amount (and they were otherwise clean). The washrooms were very small and cramped, and there was some noise from outside that was hard to shut out. But the hotel staff were relatively friendly, and the western-style buffet breakfast was good. it was fine. For a traveller that needs basic comfort and security and doesn't expect classy, five star service in a non-Western country, it's a good, inexpensive option.
