Folded Brocade Hill
Folded Brocade Hill, also called diecai hill is located in the north of Guilin city. It is one of the three renowned hills in the city of Guilin. (The other two are Fubo Hill and Solitary Beauty Hill.) The sunlit stratified rocks on the hill likens piles of brocades, hence the name Diecai (Folded Brocade Hill). It is well-known for the amazing scenery, stone carvings and bird aviary. Covered an area of more than 2 square kilometers, Folded Brocade Hill is composed of Bright Moon Peak, Agrimony Peak, Siwang Hill and Yuyue Hill. Bright Moon Peak is the highest peak of Folded Brocade Hill with an area of 10.8 hektares. Standing in the "Cloud-catching Pavilion" on the Bright Moon Peak, you can get a magnificent view of the Li River and the downtown of Guilin.
The Butterfly Exhibition Hall situated between Yuyue Peak and Bright Moon Peak displays 2,000 butterflies from oversea and domestic.
