We put up at Jinshanling Hotel at the Jinshanling Great Wall for the night before we start our most challenging part of our 5-day hike trip - the 4-hour hike from Jinshanling to Simatai. This is the only hotel within the compound of the Jinshanling Great Wall administration area. Jinshanling Hotel is divided into three parts - Villa type house, courtyard house and independent house. We stay at a village-type house, the most luxury one in Jinshanling Hotel. The house has three rooms, just accommodating our small group.
