Badaling Great Wall
East Section of the Badaling Great Wall
My tour guide - Mr. Chen Rong is young and energetic. For him, hiking the Great Wall is just like walking on the ground. You know, he usually does 5 or 6 Great Wall hikes per month. So being a tour guide in Beijing is not an easy job! The wall is wide enough for five horses to gallop abreast. IT looks firm and original. I like hiking the Badaling Great Wall for its firmness and grandeure. The wall hug the contours of the terrain and it climbs up and down the mountains.
Mr. Chen Rong guides us to hike ahead. The couple is well armed and equipped.
We reach a beacon tower ( signal tower ).
Pose before the beacon tower.
Hike ahead and the Great Wall looks like a dragon in the mist.
Saw-tooth Great Wall, steep, 85 degree!
Walking down and up to a Watch tower ( or enemy tower ) for guiding and lodging purposes.
