Me and my friend had a great time at Harbin and ice carving world and show world, we had some extra time so Steven Ma ( our local tour guide ) took us to place near Songhua River to see the winter swimming. It was amazing! We had a great time, it was the perfect ending to my trip in China. Located in the north foot of Mt.Guokui, Yabuli town, 193kms away from Harbin, Yabuli Ski Resort was the hunting ground in the Qing Dynasty only open to royal members and nobles. Nowadays it is the largest ski resort in China with the best facilities and it is the main training base for the Chinese ski team.
The Lowest temperature of local is -47.2℉. For its high elevation, snow falls for a long period of about 170 days. From November to late March of the next year is the best time to ski at Yabuli Ski Resort.
The ski resort is divided into two distinctive areas: the competitive section and the leisure skiing section, covering an area of 22.55kms totally. The competitive section is 988 meters high, located between First Gupkui and Second Guokui as welll as the Second Guuokui and Third Guokui. It provides 9 alp-lifts, 7 langlauf lifts, 6 skee cable cars, 90 meter high platform, Winter Shooting range and gymnasium indoor. The Third Guokui established large scale tour ski run.
