The Guilin Park Hotel is situated between Gui Lake and Laoren Mount near the city center and about 25kms from the airport and 3kms from the train station.

Guest Reviews:

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour of China. Of all the hotels we stayed in, this hotel had the most personality. Most of the other hotels were like any hotel you'd see in the U.S., but this one did incorporate some Chinese style in the interior decor, which I really liked. The art over the bed in our room was a simple and lovely panel of wood carved in peonies. (However, fellow travelers' had a huge medallion of wood carved like a dragon over their bed -- I don't know that I would have liked that as much.) The breakfast buffet was average, serving a decent selection of eastern and western breakfast foods. The view from our room was of the "karsts" for which Guilin is famous, so that was nice.

The Guilin Park Hotel (solid 3+ star hotel) offered a good mix of local favor while helping the western tourist slide back to old western eating habits if one decides to go that direction. The hotel is located on one of the several lakes in this beautiful city. Take the lake river night boat ride to experience the size and differences of the city (4.8MM that doesn't rank in the top 20 cities in population). Walk the beautiful trails during the day and see many wonderful sites. This is a city you can navigate on your own, but please don't miss the out of the way food markets for a real side of the urban shopping experience. The city has a large park with two Pandas, please don't miss this non-tourist park.

Staying at the Guilin Park Hotel was special. Our room overlooked the pool and the lake. We were close to shops and nightlife. The front Office Manager, Alex Qin, was extremely helpful. He scheduled our river cruise, booked our hotel reservation in Yangshou and provided transportation back to Guilin where we stayed a second night at the Park Hotel. The night picture of the hotel provides the special feeling for our overall experience.
