Dear Reina,

My wife, Doug, and I have just returned from our Beijing-Xian-Shanghai trip and want to thank you for the wonderful one week we spent in China and the most dedicated and professional service we received from our guides in Beijing (Alan), Xi'an (Jerry) and Shanghai (Bob) and their respective drivers.

I make these comments as a marketing research professional whose practice includes customer service quality fulfillment evaluation. Of particular importance is that all of our arrangements were made with via E-Mail and everything was actually delivered as promised and more.

Best personal regards, Doug Cirruzzo

Shanghai Hong Qiao New World Pearl Market
Also named "Hong Qiao Xintiandi", Hong Qiao New World Pearl Market is an international pearl trading center gathering pearl, folk craftworks, antique, high grade silk, etc. Like pearl’s circles, vendors have ready-made items for you to buy, but you can also do your own designing. Shanghai Yatai Xinyang Fashion and Gift Market
After that famous "fake" market-Xiangyang market closed its gates in 2006, many vendors relocated to Yatai Xinyang Market. Different from Xiangyang Market, the vendors in Xinyang Market create their own brands instead of the former fake. This is a great place to buy inexpensive souvenirs: the colorful Children’s clothes, the fashion finery, Heldi&lyn's dreaming house Suit-dress, Shanghai T-shirts, chopstick, cushion covers and so on. Really, you will be attracted by it.

Shanghai South Bund Fabric Market
The best place to get custom made clothing is at the South Bound Fabric Market. It is a three storey building full of fabric shops and tailors. Here you can make your couture dreams come true. Its great values are Qipao, cashmere coats and men’s shirts. You can look at the samples of clothes they have made or you can pick the style from the book they give you even you can bring pictures from home of something that you want made. Most of the vendors will make whatever you want within 24 hours. Some tailors do speak English.

Shanghai Shiliu Puhong Qixiang Cloth Market
This market is in Dongmen Road, not far from Yuyuan Garden, so it is convenient for you to wander in it during your tour. You’ll find the same fabrics-cashmere, silk, linen, wool and cotton at similar prices. Many vendors speak a bit of English but if you are having something complicated made, it’s best to take along someone who can speak a bit of Chinese.

Shanghai Flower, Bird, Fish and Insect Market
As the most famous of its kinds in Shanghai, this market has everything that you expect to find. There are Spring’s orchid, Summer’s lotus, Autumn’s mum, and Winter’s plum, which are changeable following the seasons. All kinds of fish, birds together with the tools are also available.
