We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Qingdao Port Cruise Terminal Location
Qingdao Passenger Cruise Terminal is located at No.06 Xinjiang Road, about 3.5km to the north of Qingdao Railway Station, the city center of Qingdao.

How to get from the cruise to the city center of Dalian?

Major Attractions in downtown Qingdao
1.Tsingtao Brewery: Tsingtao Brewery is China's largest brewery. It was founded in 1903 by German settlers and now claims about 15% of domestic market share.
2.St.Michael's Catholic Church: Built in 1934, the twin-spired church is perched in a steep hill by the Zhongshan Road and each spire has a cross.
3. Zhan Bridge: Zhan Birdge is th Qingdao landmark, an extension of the road into the sea.
4. Little Qingdao Isle (Xiaoqingdao Island): It is a pleasant little peninsular. Viewed from the sky, the island is shaped like an ancient lute, and hence is also called Lute Island.
5. Navy Museum: The Naval Museum was established by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy and opened to the public on Oct. 1, 1989. It has five major exhibition halls including the Navy history exhibition hall, Navy uniform exhibition hall, gift exhibition hal, weapons and equipment hall, and warships hall.
6. Undergrwater World: This aquarium is loved by kids with a spectacular 82m underwater glass-enclosed tunnel and plentiful underwater performanes.
7. Beach No.01: A popular beach located close to the city.
8. Xiaoyushan Park (Little Fish Hill): It is Qingdao's old town teeming with stone houses, villas, and German-style buildings.
9. Qingdao Badaguan Scenic Area: The place of Badaguan used to have eight avenues named after eight famous ancient passes in China and now two more avenues were built in the area. Badaguan is packed with garden-like villas and foreign-styled buildings built in early 20th century by Russia, Britain, France, Germany, the United States of America, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Japan and etc
10. Huashi Lou: Huashi Lou literally means Flower Stone Building. Built in 1930, it was the original home of a Russian aristocrat and latered used by other famous persons successively.
11. Zhongshan Park: It is the largest city park in Qingdao with trees and lake and it also has an amusement park.
12. May Fourth Square: May Fourth Square (Wusi Guangchang) is a large public square in Qingdao's central business district. The square is a popular tourist destination, and is bordered by the city government to the north, the sea to the south, and residential and commercial buildings on either side. On pleasant days May Fourth Square fills with young couples on the ground and kites in the air.

Qingdao Buses
There are plentiful buses and the bus stops have English signboards. The roadside signs are also available in Chinese and English. ). The normal wait between buses is about five minutes.But buses on major routes can still get crowded during peak hours. Bus fares between RMB1 and RMB2. Below are some useful bus lines:
