| Rooms did what they had to do to meet the "4 star" criteria, but I agree.. they follow the letter of the law, but it doesn't feel like it is that quality. Breakfast buffet was pretty good actually, and on the top floor with cool views of Hangzhou and out to West Lake. Good location for access to shopping and restaurant areas, plus West Lake. |

| It is Ok. I have no other hotels in Hangzhou in which to compare for price and value but I found everything okay. The outside appearance is not impressive but the location near the night market was a plus. The staff really tried to be helpful but they are certainly not totally familier with Western ways. For example, asking the waiter in the lobby bar to add the beer (10RMB) to my room bill was rather awkward. The room was clean, the TV worked fine, the shower had good water pressure and hot water and one of the windows opened to the outdoors, all important factors to me. |
