Yubeng Village, Lijiang
Yubeng Village, a secluded Tibetan village, is a beautiful and miraculous place. The village tucked away at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain near the city of Shangri-la, in the northwestern corner of Yunnan Province.
Yubeng Village is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Because of its unique location, there are only 120 households living here and connects outside world only with one small road. The only way to reach the village is by non-motorized ways, such as by foot or on the back of a horse or a mule.
Yubeng Village is divided into two sections: upper village and lower village. Tourists can go the base camp of the Joint- Japanese mountain-climbing expedition from the upper village, while from the lower village, tourists can go to Yubeng Waterfall, Ancient Seal Character and other scenic spots.
