Badaling Remnant Great Wall



Located to he southwest of Badaling Great Wall of Yanqing County, Badaling Remnant Great Wall is the only section of the remnant Great Wall that has been authorized to be opened to the public.

To the southwest of Badaling Great Wall, the remnant Great Wall is the west gate of the whole fortification system, used to be named as Shixia Pass.

The tourist line starts from the watch tower at the opening of the remnant Great Wall, and stretches upwards along the mountains. The tourists can see the damaged walls, collapsed openings, and broken towers. To facilitate the tourists, there are wood steps and handrails to ensure the safety of tourists.

According to the research of experts, there are two ancient sites with high archeological values. One is the stone material field where stones were taken to build the Great Wall. There are still huge stones with clear signs of cutting; Another place is the brick kiln to produce the Great Wall bricks.

How to get there: Bus No.919 (Deshengmen - Badaling Town), and then take a taxi to the Badaling Remnant Great Wall.
