Everlasting Sorrow Performance Day Tour

Pick up from your hotel in Xian aroud 2:00pm and drive 30km to get to the site of Terracotta Warriors or a 2-3 hour visit. The original site was found by four local farmers drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xian. The museum includes Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well as the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. The Pit 1 is the largest of the three. The museum and the mausoleum are listed as UNSCO World Cultural Heritage.


After Chinese dinner, you are arranged to move on to Huaqing Hot Spring where a grand singing and dancing performance, a historical drama titled "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" is put on. The site of Huaqing Hot Spring is located under the Lishan Mountain just 5 km east of the Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. It is famous for the romantic love story of Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) and his concubine Yang Yuhuan in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

The Song of Everlasting Sorrow Performance is presented on the real-scene with a backdrop of Lishan Mountain and the ponds, pavilions, corridors and palaces in the background. The historical drama tells the romantic story between Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) and his favorite court concubine Yang Yuhuan in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). 

The grand performance is a feast for visitors with its real-scene of mountain and water, beautiful music, graceful actions and fairy lights based a real historical love story.It is a pleasant mixture of Chinese tradtional and modern singing and dancing, a not miss opportunity to understand Chinese history and culture.


After watching the performance, you are returned to your hotel in Xian around 10:00pm.

On the afternoon of your tour departure date, our tour guide will go to your hotel ahead of your pick-up time in the lobby, holding a sign with your name. When you come down to the hotel lobby, just look around for the sign to meet our tour guide. 

You will have the narratives of local history and culture by your tour guide while you are comfortably sitting in the air-conditioned vehicle of your exclusive use and enjoying the views passing by.

Rush hours in Xian can cause serious traffic jam. We try our best to manage the traffic and keep your schedule.
