Guizhou Tour
With Guiyang as its capital, Guizhou Province is situated in the southwest of China, bordered by Hunan Province to its east, Guangxi to the south, Yunnan the west and Chongqing the north. Guizhou is a mountainous province with its west part more hilly and the eastern and southern portions relatively flat. The western part of the province is part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.
Guizhou is comparatively poorer than other provinces. But great government efforts has been made to build the new highways, airports, new economic development zones. Not long before Guizhou will discard its reputation as the backward province in China.

Guizhou's landform is of the plateaus in western China with many mountainous regions. It is also the most typical karst landform in the world. "Little Flat Ground" is the landform featuring Guizhou.
Guizhou has a subtropical humid monsoon climate type - warm and humid. The range of temperature change is relatively small with the average temperature in most parts of Guizhou around 15 ℃, the coldest January average temperature 3 ℃ - 6 ℃, and the hottest of the July average temperature between 22 ℃ - 25 ℃, with a mild winter, heatless summer, and rich precipitation.
Guizhou has rich tourist resources with beautiful natural scenery - Huangguoshu Waterfall, Dragon Palace Cave, Zhi Jin Cave, Maling River Gorge, and rich minority cultures.
Guizhou is a mountainous area with detours, some road traffic is far away, and not in good condtion. So be prepared for some anti-motion sickness medicine prior to departure.
Guizhou without much sunshine days, has a big weather change. Be ready to bring an umbrella. Most of the scenic attractions in Guizhou are natural landscapes, coupled with rain, the scenic road may be slippery, you'd better wear non-slip, lightweight shoes. Bring your own long-sleeved clothes due to Guizhou's big temperature difference between day and night.
Most of the ethnic minorities have their own gods, beliefs and totem. Visitors should respect local folklore and pay attention to some ethnic minorities taboo.
For the steep mountain slope area, visitors should hold tightly the handrails, don't enter the danger zone, and beware of crowded collision.

Guiyang has flights connecting over 40 cities in China including Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Wuhan, Guangzhou and more. It also has flights for international destinations including Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. Two highways link Guiyang with Chongqing and Kunming.
The trains from Guiyang and Anshui run to Kunming, Guilin and Chongqing. Weining has a back-door route to Kunming and also go to Guilin from Zhaoxing through the back-door road.
Getting around the province is easy by buses and trains. Major sites and places are connected by expressways or highways. Some smaller places and villages have poor roads and your patience is needed in this case.

Guizhou food is similar to Sichuan and Hunan cuisines, but it has some unique features which emphasise a combination of sour and spicy tastes, which is similar to that of Shaanxi food. Guizhou cuisine is often cooked to meet the flavour of locally produced liquor, such as Maotai, which is drunk with the food. One of the prominent characteristic of Guizhou cuisine is its unique salt pickled vegetable.
There are many options of street food in Guiyang if you'd like to dine out. You can find night food markets or just clustered restaurants on Shaanxi Road, Hequn Road and Ruijin East Road. Try a local casserole hotpot with vegetable, noodle, seafood combination.
In Kaili, you can find plenty of eateries or night markets on Beijing East Road or near Guotai Grand Hotel. The best place for the night market in Anshun is on Gufu Street which is lined witn food stalls offering noodles, barbecued fish, Uighur kebabs. In Zunyi, you won't be disappointed with the local food. You can easily find the street food offering hotpot, noodle and grill food. The busy Xiangshan Road and some small lanes off Zhonghua South Road have everything from barbecued fish, Guangdong food and local food. In Chishui, Renmin Weat Road is the best place to enjoy the food including noodle, rice dishes, dumplings and mang more.
