Chongli County
Chongli County is located in the center of the administration area of Zhangjiakou City. About 50km from downtown Zhangjiakou, Chongli County is connected to Zhangjiakou city proper by two roads: Jingcheng Expressway and province-level highway.
Chongli is a typical deep mountainous area with northeast higher and southwest lower, between 1234 and 1600 meters at altitude - Green mountains, valleys and gullies, thick forest and spacous grassland. It is well known for its 8/10th of mountains, 1/10th of water and 1/10th of farmland.
Chongli County has the yearly average temperature at 3.3 degree celsius with summer average 19 degree, 4 degree lower than Zhangjiakou, 6-7 degree lower than Beijing. Chongli is now become a famous summer resort as well as a ski resort due to its specific location with mild weather and leisure enviroment.
Chongli is most suitable for outdoor activities thanks to its average wind speed # 2 with average temperature at - 12 degrees celsius. Its snow keeping season time lasts over 150 days with good quality snow, the most suitable place for skiing.
Wanlong Ski Resort is located at Honghualiang, 12km north of Chongli County, about 260km northwest of Beijing. At the time writing, there are totally 22 trails in Wanlong Ski Resort, including advanced, intermediate and primary levels, occupying over 700,000 square meters. Every trail is equipped with a perfect snow–made system.

If you are unable to reserve Shuanglong hotel or you are looking for a cheaper one, you are highly recommended to use Chongli Hotel in Chongli County, only 12km from Wanlong Ski Resort.
