Hua Jue Xiang, Huajue Lane at Xi’an Muslim Quarter

Plan your Xi’an Tour? Huajue Xiang 化觉巷 (Huajue Lane or Huajue Alley) must be on your visiting Xian list. Huajue Lane is located to the northwest of Drum Tower 鼓楼(Gu Lou) of Xian. Huajue Lane is an important part of the famous Xian Muslim Quarter 回坊(Hui Fang).

The famous Xian Muslim Quarter is located just behind (northwest of) the Drum Tower in Xian. You will find a tablet inscribed with the names of the main alleys in the Muslim Quarters (Hui Fang) including Huajue Lane, Bei Yuan Men, Xi Yang Shi and She Hui Lu (She Hui Road).

Huajue Xiang, the over one thousand years old lane is not a straight alley, first running from east to west, then turning north. Most part of the lane is occupied by stalls selling a wide varity of tourist stuff, cheap and unique seldon seen elsewhere.

Actually Huajue Alley has become an interesting free market in Xian, a must to visit place for the first time Xian visitors.
