Activities and Holidays in November in Beijing
 
November 08, 2011 is “the beginning of Winter” for the year 2011 according to “solar term” of the lunar calendar meaning “beginning winter” but is 45 days before the winter solstice. On the day of “start of winter”, traditionally local Beijingers eat jiaozi (dumplings) to celebrate the special day. Some people would follow our ancestors’ footprints to have excursions around the northern Beijing commemorate the special day.
 
November 08 is also Journalist’s Day in China, one of the three work holidays with other two being Nurse’s Day and Teacher’s Day . If you are a journalist, you may take a break and forget suppression and challenge on this special day.
 
For the first half of this November, don’t waste time to catch up the beautiful views of later autumn folliage in and around Beijing. For later November visitors, well prepare your warm clothes if you are going to hike the Great Wall and become heros despite the cold waether on the Wall.
 
There are also some food festivals and yummy food in November. November is typically when the vendors who sell roasted chestnuts are in many oulets in the city of Beijing. Instant-boiled mutton becomes popular in this month bring much warm in the cold weather.

Why go to Beijing in November
Maybe November is not the best season to visit Beijing, specially during the later half month of November when temperature will drop. But there are some good reasons to travel Beijing in later November. From every November 15, hotels, airlines and even the attraction entrance fees will give better discounts which you won’t enjoy during toutist high season.
 
Tourist volume will be much thinner in the sites you are going to visit. You will have a relaxing and carefree time for photo taking. But please keep in mind that the opening time for winter sites will be shoter. So you should adjust your travel schedule.  Beijing can be a great place in November.

    If we want to make a plan for Beijing tour in November, make sure firstly that Beijing in November is too cool. Have to take some perceptions for get a tour of there. According to me later autumn is a right time to tour for Beijing. Just have to get a desire travel service which can offered the perfect heating hotel or residential areas in Beijing. Keep posting some more images of this city.

    Normally the most possible months for snowing in Beijing are later Dec, Jan and early Feb.
