Beijing Bungee Jumping

Plan your Beijing tours? If you are searching for Beijing bungee jumping, this is the right place to locate a bungy site for your adventure trip to Beijing.

Bungee jumping originated in the west and the first commercial bungee jumping started with A J Hackett, the New Zealander, who made his first jump from Auckland’s Greenhithe Bridge in 1986. About 10 years later, the first bungee jumping site appeared in Shidu, Beijing.

Now there have been five major bungee jumping sites in and around Beijing. In light of tall and fixed structures connected to a large elastic cord, the bungee jumps in Beijing are divided into three kinds: Bungy Platform (extended from a cliff), Bungy Tower and  Bungee Rocket (Reverse Bungee).

We are much delighted to introduce to you some of the bungee jumping areas in Beijing, but don’t hold any accountability for possible injuries that may occur.

Important Notice:
1. Good health condition is needed for bungee jumping. People over 50 years old are not recommended.
2. Those bungee jumpers are forbidden to take part the bungee jumping activity, who have heart disease, high blood pressure and acrophobia.

  23. Hello Nikita,

You first take the S Train from Beijing North Railway Station ( Dongzhimen, near Beijing Zoo ) or take the bus 919 from Deshengmen Bus Terminal and get off at Yanqing County, then try to take the local taxi or mini-bus to Longqing Gorge.

  24. Hello Nikita,

Just a follow-up to my previous reply. In my last reply, I’ve mistaken “Longqing Gorge”in Yanqing for Qinglong Gorge in Huairou. Now you are going to Qinglong Gorge in Huairou District.

You first take the bus 916 from Dongzhimen Bus Terminal and get off at Huairou District ( 怀柔), then try to find Bus 936 going from Huairou to QinglongGorge (青龙峡). You may turn to the local people or police for the bus stop of Bus 936 for Qinglong Gorge. Just show the Chinese characters “青龙峡 (Qinglong Gorge)” to them. Have a good time!

Thank you for that information 🙂

Can I ask again if there is lockers at the Shidu jump site to keep my belongings in? Also is there people who can take photos of the jump?

    Thanks,

  28. Hello Murdo,

Basically, you don’t have to worry about the lockers and everybody has to empty their belongings on their clothes and sign a contract, then start their 3-minute Bungee jumping ( RMB200 per jump ). Don’t worry about the lockers, and you just follow the procesure which has been done for many years. Everybody will be photographed and vedioed. You pay some amount of money for your pictures or vedio.
