History: Wuzhou is an ancient city which includes a history of 2100 years. Cangwu City is set up in Nanyue Dynasty in B.C.183 of Han Dynasty, which was transferred into Cangwu County in B.C.111, and the Wu Zhou is initially established in A.D. 621 of Tang Dynasty. The first general governor official was established in Wu Zhou in China during the period of Ming Dynasty, governing Guangxi and Guangdong region, which has transferred into the center of politics and military. In the 10th year of the Republic, the region was enlarged into city, which was also the first provincial city in Guangxi in 1927.
Climate: Wuzhou belongs to the subtropical region featured by humid weather with monsoon influence. The region is subject to ample sunshine, around 1915 hours annually, and free from frost for 350 days. The monthly 24-hour average temperature ranges from 11.9 °C (53.4 °F) in January to 28.2 °C (82.8 °F) in July, and the annual mean is 21.05 °C (69.9 °F). Transportation: Airways- Wuzhou airport has opened up several lines directed to Nanning, Chongqing, Zhuhai, Guizhou and so forth, which is available for the taking off and landing of Boeing 737. Wuzhou Xijiang Airport is under construction (4D level) nowadays, started by the end of 2012, which is expected to be the alternate airfield of lines from Europe to Guangzhou, available for the taking off and landing of Boeing 767, Airbus A300 and other aircrafts.
Railways- The city is connected by Line Luoyang-Zhanjian, which runs across Hubei, Hunan and Guangxi via Xiangfan, Shimen, Mingxiang, Yong Zhou, He Zhou, Wu Zhou and Yulin. Besides, this line is also a main transportation line of steel, as well as a key passage to Southern Asia.

waterways- Wu Zhou Port is the biggest inner port within Guangxi Region, which is also available for the arrival of Nanning, Guigang, Liuzhou in the west along Xun River, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hongkong and Macao in the east along Xi River. There are several passenger lines running through Guangxi and Guangdong Province, by which it only costs 8 hours for the arrival of Hongkong on fast liner.

Attraction: Wuzhou an arcaded street is of 30th constructing style which is rich in western feature, including Roman Column, Round Arched window, palace curving and other typical exotic architectures. Combining the essence of arcaded street of west and east, the architecture group resembles the commercial zones which confluence shopping, tourism, entertainment, recreation and dining together. Meandering and appealing, arcaded buildings stand along the street regularly, like the net of spider, which free the tourists from the worry of rain. There are 22 streets within the architecture group, the longest of which measures 2530 meters in length. Besides, attribute to the number of over 560 buildings on the street, the arcaded street is indeed qualified of the reputation of the “Museum of Arcaded Street” in China.
Events: Longyan Firework Festival(龙岩“三月三”炮节)- This festival is only held once in three years on the 3rd of March in Cangwu Town, Wu Zhou. The cultural performance will unveiled, including distinctive “Carp Dancing”, “Songs of Liuyang River”, followed by sections of Antiphonal Singing and embroidered ball throwing. Then the firework referring to “Ding Cai Gui Shou” (which means renewal, fortune, honor and longevity in Chinese) will soar into the air followed by teams competiting for the firework.
Wuzhou International Jewelry Festival(梧州国际宝石节)- Given the reputation as the “City of Artificial Jewelry”, Wuzhou has been served as the host place for jewelry fair for 4 times since 2004, which attracted thousands of participants. In addition to artificial jewelry, it is also abundant in natural jewelry, pearl, exquisite ornament and raw material. After the opening of jewelry fair, Wu Zhou is crowded with tourists and become increasingly prosperous.
