Airline
Wusu Airport is in the south of Taiyuan, about 15km away from the city center. Wusu Airport was built in 1939. Until now, there are 43 airlines both in domestic and abroad. It has scheduled flights to Beijing, Wuhan, Xian, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Dalian and direct flights to Hongkong. The international airlines to Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Singapore have been opened successively.

Railway
Taiyuan is the center of China’s railway network. As the terminal of Beijing-Taiyuan railway and Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan railway, Taiyuan is the stop of Taiyuan-Datong railway, Taiiyuan-Yuncheng railway, Taiyuang-Jiaozuo railway, Taiyuan-Xinxiang railway, Taiiyuan-Beijing railway, Taiyuan-Yinchuan railway, Taiyuan-Shijiazhuang railway, Taiyuan-Zhengzhou railway etc. Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan high-speed railway, the earliest hig-speed railway, has been put into practice in 2009, which takes only two and a half hours from Taiyuan to Shijazhuang.

Highway
Taiiyuan highway is in a shape of radialpattern with Taiyuan as the center. Dayun highway, Taichang highway and Taishi highway pass through the whole city. There are five long-distance bus stations, which are Provincial Bus Station, East Station, West Station, Jiannan Bus Station and Yingbin Bus Station.

Taiyuan city offers 67 bus lines to every region of the downtown. Most of bus tickets cost RMB1 per one. Few buses cost RMB 2 for a longer distance. The operating time of bus in Taiyuan is between 06:30-22:00.
