History: Taichung history could be traced back to 1705, Zhangguo undertook to develop Taichung for its fertile. In 19987, Taichung once turned into the administrative center of Taiwan. on 17th , December, 1945, Taichung government office was set up. In 1947, Beitun, Xitun and Nantun were included in Taichung.
Climate: Taichung is regarded as the most suitable city to live as it is like spring all the year around. Under the influence of humid subtropical climate, the annual average temperature is 22.4℃ with the highest temperature of 27.8℃ in July and the lowest temperature of 10.4℃ in January. The annual rainfall is 20000mm, concentrating from May to September
Transportation: Airport-Taichung Shuinan Airport opens airlines to Taipei, Kaohsiung, Taidong, Hualian, Penghu, Jinmen, etc.
Taichung Qingquangang International Airprot is the third international airport and there are chartered airplanes to Japan, Korea, Phuket, Palau, and Ho Chi Minh City. Scheduled airline to Hongkong is available.
Railway- Taichung is the biggest station in middle of Taiwan, the western mountain railway passing through the area. The high-speed rail from Taipei to Taichung runs every 15 minutes from 06:30-23:00.
Highway- There are coaches from westwern Taiwan to Taichung. Buses from Taipei to Taichung runs
National Highway No.1 runs across the western part of Taichung.
National Highway No.3, the second most important North-South Freeway, passes through Taichung.
Waterway-Taichung Port, the second largest shipping facility on the island, is situated on the coast in Taichung city.
