Location: Pingxiang(萍乡), a key industrial city in southern region, is located in the western part of Jiangxi Province, bordering Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan of Hunan Province in the west, Yichun to the east, Ji’an in the south. The city is regarded as a gate opened to the world.

History: With over 1,700 years of history, Pingxiang, an ancient prefecture-level city, embraces great historic and cultural relics. It is estimated that Sanmiao Nation had been here for laboring and reproducing in as early as Neolithic period 5000 years ago. During the period of the Three Period, Sunhao, the emperor of Wu State, established Pingxiang County in the year of 267 A.D..

Railways- There are several rail lines running across the city in an attempt to better the convenience of travelling：Line Hangzhou-Zhuzhou, Line Shanghai-Kunming (under construction), Line Hengchaji (running southward to Mount Jinggang and westward to Ji’an), Line Yueyang-Ganzhou and Line Changting-Quanzhou have been under planning so far.
Highways- There is G319 National Highway and G320 National Highway intersected within Pingxiang. In additition, G60 Shanghai-Kunming Highway and G72 Quanzhou-Nanning have been opened up.
Local Specialties: The main specialties are Preserved pork, Southern sweet wine, Xiandan artichoke floor, Haitan green tea, Yanghuzi rice floor and so forth.

Attraction: Mount Wugong (武功山)- Mount Wugong, a national key scenery spot, is located in the middle course of the boundary between Jiangxi Province and Hunan Province, belonging to the north fork of Mount Luoxiang. The mountain includes great water scenery with enormous stream, lakes as well as falls, covered with heavy clouds which even surpass the volume of that of Mount Lu. In addition to being a resort of cloud scenery, the mountain is exactly a natural wildlife park where inhabit a number of important species including sambur, silver pheasant and so forth.

Event: Nuo Activities(傩艺活动)- the temple of Nuo will receive its hottest travelling season from the middle of October to the middle of January in the lunar year. There will be exorcising dances and songs performed all day long in 15th January.
