Highways- There is G319 National Highway and G320 National Highway intersected within Pingxiang. In additition, G60 Shanghai-Kunming Highway and G72 Quanzhou-Nanning have been opened up.
Local Specialties: The main specialties are Preserved pork, Southern sweet wine, Xiandan artichoke floor, Haitan green tea, Yanghuzi rice floor and so forth.

Attraction: Mount Wugong (武功山)- Mount Wugong, a national key scenery spot, is located in the middle course of the boundary between Jiangxi Province and Hunan Province, belonging to the north fork of Mount Luoxiang. The mountain includes great water scenery with enormous stream, lakes as well as falls, covered with heavy clouds which even surpass the volume of that of Mount Lu.
