The technique of Haikou cuisine is similar to that of Cantonese dishes, but Haikou cuisine is known for the flavor of coconut such as coconut milk chicken. The four famous Hainan dishes (Wenchang Chicken, Jiaji Duck, Stewed Dongshan Mutton and Steamed Hele Crab) can all be found in Haikou. Hainan Radish Cake
Hainan Radish cake is a local traditional snack in Hainan and the way of cooking the dish varies from place to place. However, the main ingredients of the snack are glutinous rice syrup and shredded Chinese radish. As for other minor ingredients, they can be freely changed. Wenchang Chicken is the most prestigious dishes in Hainan and it is the first of four famous Hainan dishes. In Hainan Province, there is an old saying goes that “No chicken means no feast”. Jiaji Duck
Jiaji duck, commonly known as "Muscovy duck", is one of four famous Hainan dishes, belonging to Shanghai dishes. The skin of the duck is thin and the flesh is thick, so the dish smells inviting. At an early age, some Hainan people who lived overseas introduced improved varieties of duck and bred it in the Jiaji town of Qionghai City. As a result, the dish is called Jiaji Duck.

Hainan Rice noodles are the most distinctive local snacks in Hainan Province and it has a long history. Hainan Rice Noodles is prepared with rice noodles and dozens of seasoning now which is much different from the traditional flavor, so it tastes much better than before.
