We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!
After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.
Haikou's natural landscape and cultural relics are relatively rich and just 2 to 3 days’ travel enables you to have an overview of all aspects of the city. Haikou Arcaded Streets(海口骑楼老街) mainly distributed in city center, such as Shengsha Road, Xinhua Road, Zhongshan Road, Boai Road and Jiefang Road. It is the most characteristic streets of Haikou City.
Hairui Tomb(海瑞墓) was built to commemorate the famous upright official Hai Rui. The tomb is composed of Stone Arch, Hairui Tomb, Statue of Hai Rui, Hairui Museum and other related buildings. As a result, it is also called Hairui Park.
Mangrove Forest(红树林) is the first and largest mangrove reserve in China and it is called “offshore forest park”. You can pass through the Mangrove Forest by boat and experience the stubbornness of the mangrove.
Shishan Volcano Cluster National Geopark(海口石山火山群国家地质公园) is located in the southwest of Haikou City, 15 kilometers away from the city center. It is one of the few dormant volcanoes of Holocene (10,000 years ago) volcanic eruption in China.
Holiday Beach(假日海滩) is located near the Qingling Avenue of western Haikou City, reaching a length of 6 kilometers. Holiday Beach is the most representative seaside tourist resort in Haikou.
Qiongtai Academy(琼台书苑) is the place where the story “Search the College” in Cantonese Opera took place. As a result, Qiongtai Academy gained its reputation.
Tropical Wildlife Garden(热带野生动植物园) is the only tropical rainforest wildlife garden in China. And it is also the zoo where the most ligers are breeding.
Temple of Five Lords(五公祠) is a group of ancient buildings collectively, located in Haikou city. It shows the culture of relegating officials in ancient China.
