Location: Guigang(贵港), a prefecture-level city, is located in the southeast region of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, belonging to the middle course of Xiangjiang River and Xunyu Plateau, which is an essential access of southwest China. History: Guigang was initially belongs to ancient Holo region of Yue, whereas transferred into Guilin County as the unity of the South range in Qin Dynasty. Attraction: Longfeng Stone Forest is located in the coast region of Maoergang, 4 kilometers from urban area, which consist of mountain ranges including Mount. Longtan, Mount. Xingshi, Mount. Maxi, Mount. Ma’an, Mount. Dawang and so forth. The scenic spot occupied an area of 250 Square Kilometers, in which scatters hundreds of stones that resemble “forest”, most of which measures over 1 hundred meters in height. The stones there are of distinctive shapes and patterns, no wonder local residents regard them as “dinosaur,” “peacock”, “mandarin duck”, “nauty monkeys” and so forth.
Event: Litchi Festival(荔枝节)- The carnival of litchi is held each year in Matong, the hometown of litchi in Guigang, during the harvest time. At first, it was only concerned with small group activities including family party, whereas progressively earned popularity as the litchi booth were set along the road under the ratification of government.
