We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Cantonese cuisine, also named Yue cuisine for short, is one of eight cuisines in China. It is the representative abroad, when westerners speak of Chinese food, they usually refer to Cantonese cuisine. Guangdong is situated in subtropical zone and borders the South China Sea with a feature of plentiful rainfall and everygreen throughout the whole year, so Guangdong is abundant in natural resources.

Lu cuisine, as one of the eight cuisines in China, is derived from Shandong province, a northern coastal province of China. Lu cuisine consists of two major styles—Jiaodong style and Jinan style. Jiaodong style is characterized by seafood dishes with light tastes including dishes from Fushan, Qingdao and Yantai.

Min Cuisine
Min cuisine, as one of the eight cuisines, is derived from Fuzhou then mixed with styles of Mindong, Minxi, Mingbei, Minnan and Puxian. Soup is the essence of Min cuisine, occupying the 40% of Min cuisine. According to the Tan Shi Shan cultural ruins, Fuzhou people had convention to make seafood and soup about 5,000 years ago.

As one of four traditional Chinese cuisines, Huaiyang cuisine, also named Su cuisine, is derived from Huaian, Yangzhou and Zhenjiang with the style centering on Huaian and Yangzhou. Huaiyang cuisine features light and sweetened taste, paying more attention on cutting technique and cooking temperatures.

Xiang cuisine, also called Hunan cuisine, is a local cuisine with a long and profound history. It is one of the eight Chinese cuisines and well-known for its fragrant, sour and spicy flavor.
