Location: Changzhi (长治) is in the southeast of Shanxi Province, lying between Taihang Mountain and Taiyue Mountain.

History: With a long history, Changzhi is one of the cradles of Chinese culture, a major part of Yandi and Huangdi civilization, a major part of Yandi and Huangdi civilization. It was named “Shangdang” in ancient times.
Climate: Changzhi has a semi-humid continental monsoon climate. It is neither fiercely cold in winter nor extremely hot in summer. The annual average temperature is 5℃-11℃. January is the coldest month with the average lowest air temperature of minus 6.7℃, and July is the hottest month with the average highest air temperature of 22.6℃. The frost free season is 151-184 days. The annual precipitation is 550-650mm.
Transportation: Air- Changzhi airport is 7 km from the downtown, it has flight to and from Beijing. Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Datong.
Railway-There are schedule trains to Beijing Lianyungang from Changzhi Station.
Highway- Changzhi Bus Station is situated at the West Fuhou Street, offering buses to and from Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan and Shijiazhuang.
Local Food: Changzhi’s main food is noodles and beans, among them, the Sanhe Noodles is most famous.
Attractions: Taihang Canyon-Situated in Huguan County, Changzhi city, Taihai Canyon was granted as one of China’s most beautiful canyon by Chinese National Geography for ‘China’s most beautiful places’. It is divided into four scenic areas-Zituan Cave, Yungai Temple, Shuiyao Cave and Zhenze Palace.
