Landscape Painting Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. Landscape painting is generally regarded as the highest form of Chinese painting. It is the depiction in art of landscapes – natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, especially where the main subject is a wide view –with its elements arranged into a coherent composition. Rather, they are expressions of the mind and heart of the individual artists - cultivated landscapes that embody the culture and cultivation of their masters. Painting becomes a means of conveying the inner landscape of the artist's heart and mind. You don't necessarily have learnt Chinese painting before, just be enthusiastic and be willing to hold a brush. |
