Chunhuiyuan Hot Spring Resorts
There are two famous hot spring resorts outside the city of Beijing proper. One is Jiuhua Spa & Resort; the other is Chunyuiyuan Hot Spring Resort. Actually the two spa resorts have the same springhead - Xiaotangshan hot spring. Xiaotangshan has been famous for its hot springs for over 300 years. Local legend has it that the imperial family of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) went there to relax. The temperature of water here ranges from 29 C to 90 C. People have used hot spring water in therapeutic baths for more than 200 years to treat rheumatism and other ailments. For foreign tourists, this is perhaps one of the most memorable cultural experiences and it will certainly spoil you.
Follow me to take a relaxing hot spring bath at the public pools at Chunhuiyuan Hot Spring Resort. Entering the main entrance, on your left hand, you see the main building to receive the hot spring bathers.

Then you enter a big dressing room. The impressive dressing room is extravagantly furnished.
Over 10 hot spring pools of different sizes are there for you to soak and rewind yourself.
After soaking in the hot spring, you may take a rest in the cozy lounge.
You are entitled to enjoying three kinds of complementary snacks offered by the resort.
Besides hot spring bathing, they also offer other services like sauna, massage, swimming and more.
