We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Museum of China’s Ethnic Groups
Also known as the Chinese Cultural Park of Ethnic Groups, the Museum of China’s Ethnic Groups is a large cultural base covering various ethnic minorities in China, including their traditional buildings, customs, songs and dances, handicrafts, as well as food and delicacies.

Covering about 45 hectares, the museum is divided into the North Park and South Park. The former contains 16 villages of the Tibetan, Miao, Ni, Hezhe and other peoples in an area of 20 hectares.

The latter contains 21 scenic spots depicting regions inhabited by different peoples of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Yunnan, and other places. The main building of the museum is located here as well.

All the architectural structures in the two parks were built on a 1:1 proportion with the actual buildings, and reproduce the cultural heritage of the various peoples of China. The museum holds festival celebrations every month.

Visitors can enjoy and participate in the singing and dancing, festivities, productive activities, games, handicraft making and other events, as they explore the two parks of the museum.
