We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

China Palaeozoological Hall
China Palaeozoological Hall is situated on Xizhimenwai Street. It is a specialized national museum of natural science which gives a systemic introduction to the origin and development of vertebrates.

The hall houses more than 200,000 fossil samples of vertebrates of various kinds in different regions. The basic displays are composed of four parts: Dinosaur World (electric mechanical simulation), Ancient Fish Hall, Ancient Reptile Hall, and Mammal Hall. The fossils and other means of display show the audience the origin and evolution of pre-historic vertebrates. Academic findings in the field and the fossils inlayed in the oceanic and land stratums formed in different periods are also on display.

From the primitive jawless fish to the hard-bone and soft-bone fish, from amphibians to reptiles, from the past glorious dinosaur kingdom to the dominant mammal world, from ancient apes to Homo sapiens, various fossils will come into your eyes and tell you a clear outline of the development of vertebrates.
