How time flies! The 2011 year of Rabbit is saying goodbye and the 2012 Dragon is coming! With the 2010’s annual company gala dinner still lingering in mind, tonight we hold 2011’s annual gala party at a nice restaurant within walking distance of our office building.

This year’s gala dinner party is smaller in size compared with previous years. But we stick to the motto that “Small is beautiful” and much efforts have been made to keep the small gala party funny, exciting and encouraging.

The various courses of menu are carefully selected; the restaurant is strictly chosen, spacious, clean with genuine flavor and originality; lottery prizes are purchased in advance to ensure that everybody will get a gift.

Most of the staffers are the Post-80s ( born between 1980 to 1989 ). This generation is active, clever and practical. KTV is a must for a gala dinner party for the 80s generation.

Getting a gift by slamming a dice
This year we abandon lottery draw and instead we use dices to decide who will get the gifts and what kind of gifts she or he will get. The Dice Game (shaizi) is very simple. Everybody has three chances to shake and slam three dices in a bowl for winning one gift. The number added up by the three dices will decide one’s gift.

All the gifts are classified into four categories – First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize and Fourth Prize. The larger number you get from the three dices, you will have a better gift.

Today is a big day for Tour-Beijing.com. Why today? Because today we say goodbye to outsourced, routine and uniform lunches! Because today we have home-cooked dishes for our office lunch! Because today we recreate the taste of our mothers” meatballs!

Let’me show you some of the home cooked recipes by our office staffers (most Post-1980’s Generation) who were born with a golden spoon in her/his mouth. Though the dishes may not look and taste as brilliant as those made by restaurants, they touch our hearts and extend our world…

Preparing and Heating up the food

Touch a physical Google for the first time

For many online companies like www.tour-beijing.com, Google is the God, the Sky, the Earth on which they live. Now everything can be googled. Google has empowered ordinary people to become experts in short time on some areas which were normally restricted to a handful of people who would spend years for learning on the specific aspects.

Having Googled, you become a doctor, a trip advisor, a weather expert, a writer, a journalist, a seller, a buyer, a teacher…, the list can be infinite. Google has changed the world, the life style, the thinking and the social structure. In a word, Google has created a new world, a world of information, a world of communication.

This afternoon, I have an opportunity to enter the Google office building in Haidian District Beijing. It is my first time to feel and touch a physical Google. The ten-storey building stands elegantly in the Tsinghua High-tech Garden, west of Wudao Kou in Haidian District of Beijing.

A 3-hour inside the google office building in Beijing has impressed me greatly. It is a global company with a global vision, a leader in the search engine world.

We sincerely hope Google is, has been and will be our lighthouse in the ocean of information. We love Google, for it has empowered us!
