Located in the Phenix Mountain, Mengjiangnu’s temple is composed with Holy Girl Shrine and Mengjiangnu’s Garden. The Holy Girl Shrine was set up before Song Dynasty, listed as the Key Cultural Relic under the Province-level. The temple was constructed according to the folk story about Mengjiangnu’s search for her husband. Her husband was forced to build the Great Wall by Emperor Qinshihuang. When Mengjiangnu arrived at the destination, her husband had been died for tire and disease. Mengjiangnu was to painful to keep cry day and night, after seven days the Great Wall broke down because of her wawl.
There are four buildings in the temple, namely temple gate, antetemple, rear hall and Zhengyi pavilion. The statue of Mengiiangnu, which wears blue clothes and looks in the direction of Nanhai sadly, is located at the antetemple. There are statues of young boys and girls on each side of the statue. There is a hundred-expecting stone at the back of the temple.
The Mengjiannu’s Garden was consisted of the polts of Mengjiangnu’s legend, such as “make winter clother ” “build the Great Wall by tens of thousands people” “the Husband-expecting stone” “The Great Wall fall down by the wawl”, etc. After the view, you will be profunditiely moved by the appealing love story.
