This hotel is centrally located in the middle of Beijing, a 10-minute walk to Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing shopping street. The hotel staff are excellent and make every effort to be helpful and informative. Free internet in the room is excellent and consistent. The room with a see through glass toilet and curtains; something quite different from the normal rooms, but still, a very interesting type of room. Beds are very comfortable and airconditioning is excellent. Recommend printing out in Chinese the hotel name, address to give to the taxi driver at the airport upon arrival. There are the food markets and reastaurants that opens every night just up the road.

2. Hotel G,Beijing (北京 Hotel G)
Its a very trendy boutique hotel that is also excellent value for money. The hotel is well located with some interesting shops and decent restaurants all within a short walk, and the subway station is only 15 minutes by foot. The staff speaks good english and is friendly, polite, efficient and genuinely happy to be helpful. Beautifull room with atmospheric lights with beautiful decorations. The breakfast is wonderful and really keep you up for a day of sightseeing. The only drawback  of the hotel is that that most taxi drivers don’t know the location even with written card from the hotel.

The location is very good, whether for shopping and eating or biking or taking a taxi for sightseeing. The hotel rooms are big, clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable with the cotton bedding as smooth as silk and the pillows firm yet soft. The service here cannot be beat. The free wifi and minibar is a value added as well as the free use of bicycles and splendid swimming pool…  Each staff member and manager goes out of their way to help and make you pleased. There are the most beautiful shops  and reasturants around the hotel, from a big Apple store to the adidas flagship to Uniqlo.

It is an an Amanresorts property.  It’s very far from the heart of Beijing. But, as a site to escape the city for a few nights, and just rewind and take in some culture and beauftiful scenery, the location is super. A basic suite is spacious, with half of an historic Chinese bungalow fronting on a courtyard. There is a dining area, a huge desk, a separate bedroom with a canopy bed, a dressing room with Ming furniture. Its really more like a very luxury home or club than a hotel. Amazing swimming pool, excellent staff, famous restaurants.

A boutique hotel, the hotel is nestled in the old hutong area in the the heart of Beijing with walking distance to Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing Street. Though it is hard to find, tt is easy walking through the hutong to get to a main street to catch a taxi or get on the subway. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are stunning and a great mix of modern and traditional. The courtyard is just beautiful! The rooms are lovely, very neat and clean.

8. The Red Capital Ranch (新红资避暑山庄)
The Red Capital Ranch is located near the Great Wall. The sister hotel of Rad Capital Ranch is Shambhala Hotel(http://www.houseofshambhala.com/) in Lhasa. All of the employees at Red Capital Ranch are Tibetans. They are are excellent. The rooms are beautifully and imaginatively decorated. The accommodation is rustic but extremely charming with tons of local Tibet flare. There are two unrestored sections of the Great Wall accessible from the hotel – including one to which they have exclusive access. The chefs are amazing, the food is very fresh and the setting for the restaurant is lovely with 360 degree views of the great wall. The location, though difficult to find, really placees you in the heart of historic Beijing. The Tucked in a restored Chinese courtyard compound. All rooms are clean special decoration with Chinese Boutique furnitures. Its unique restaurant cooks the favorite dishes of the PRC’s early leaders, like soy-braised pork (Mao’s favorite), a tasty Gongbao Shrimp with Cashew Nuts… Pictures of Mao hanging on the walls. The staff was very nice, helpful and speaking a very good English.
