Nestled in the traditional hutong area, it is an unique hotel more than just “Club”, but  with a private club philosopy. The China Club is targeted for those woh have money to burn and a desire for all things featuring Chinese.The club hotel is composed of five courtyards with 14 rooms, a bar and banquet hall. Rooms are also available for non-members during low season. 2. Commune By The Great Wall, Kempinski Beijing  (长城脚下的公社)
Commune by the Great Wall is a group of contemporary architecture buidlings or villas designed by 12 Asian architects. In 2005, Commune by the Great Wall was praised by Business Week as a “New Architectural Wonder of China”.The hotel is presently composed of 42 villas with 190 suites and eleven Presidential Suites, four restaurants, Anantara Spa, Kid’s Club and an outdoor pool. The view is amazing, with the Great Wall in front of the villas, though in a distant mountains. The villas are dotted over the small hills in the hotel compound. 3. The St. Regis Beijing (北京国际俱乐部饭店)
The hotel is centrally located along the east of Changan Avenue with a good 20 minute walk to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen square. The subway station is just a few steps from the hotel. The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious, the service is truly five star.

The staff is ready to  help you and they are very friendly. The butler service is also outstanding. There are several restaurants in the hotel, and food is good though a little pricy.

4. Fairmont Beijing (北京华彬费尔蒙酒店)
The hotel is very centrally located, a 3-minute walk to the subway station. This is very convenient as the subway is a very easy and best way to go around Beijing. For big buyers, the Silk Market is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The staff are very friendly, courteous and go out of their way to help you out. it offers very personalized service for the breakfast, afternoon tea, happy hour and evening dessert. The rooms are spacious and the espresso machine is a nice plus.

5.Grand Hyatt  Beijing (北京东方君悦大酒店)
The location is fantastic, only 10 minutes walk to Tiannemen square and the Forbidden City. It is a beautiful Hyatt property, attached to the Oriental Plaza Mall, along Changan Avenuw and Wangfujing.

All staff are friendly, the bell boys and swimming pool, gym staff, especially the front desk is very efficeint. A huge 55m swimming pool in a tropical jungle setting is a great plus, luxury and fun for the children.

It is centrally located and itslocation is great for both shopping and walking around for sightseeing. The hotel is very opulent and very clean. The food in all the restaurants is fantastic.The rooms are larger, clean, luxurious and comfortable. The concierge is excellent. The breakfast is pletiful and delicious! There is a Spa where the exhausted travellers or businessmen can relax and rewind. The hotel also hosts some boutique shops selling major fashion brands: Vuitton, Ferragamo, Chanel, Cartier.

8. Raffles Beijing
Add:  Well located at the site linked both  to  Chang An Avenue and Wangfujing Street, Raffles Beijing Hotel is just a few minutes from the Forbidden City,  Tiananmen Square, the Silk Market and other famous attractions.

It is also a short 15-minute walk from Beijing Railway Station and 5 minutes from Wangfujing subway station of Line 1.  The hotel boasts 171 beautifully furnished guest rooms and suites.  The rooms are very spacious and lovely with a seperate lounge area, the bed is so comfy!  Each room is equipped with Ironing board, hairdyer, dressing gowns and slippers and more. 10. InterContinental Hotel Beijing BEICHEN

The hotel is located just next to National Convention Centre and the 2008 Olympic Central Park ( bird’s nest, water cube and more ).  The hotel is less than 30 minutes from Beijing Capital Airport and 10 minutes from the Shangdi Hi-tech Zone and the Silicon Valley of Beijing.

All the guest rooms are extremely spacious about 43 – 50 square metres in size. The luxury decor offers a comfortable backdrop to the luxury sofa and armchair, which offers cozy mecca. The breakfast is varied and well-done. Hotel staff is friendly and ready to help you. Very luxurious rooms, excellent beds, excellent restaurants. 5. Hotel Kapok Beijing (北京木棉花酒店)
This hotel is centrally located in the middle of Beijing, a 10-minute walk to Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing shopping street. The hotel staff are excellent and make every effort to be helpful and informative.

Free internet in the room is excellent and consistent. The room with a see through glass toilet and curtains; something quite different from the normal rooms, but still, a very interesting type of room. Beds are very comfortable and airconditioning is excellent.

Recommend printing out in Chinese the hotel name, address to give to the taxi driver at the airport upon arrival. There are the food markets and reastaurants that opens every night just up the road.

The location is very good, whether for shopping and eating or biking or taking a taxi for sightseeing. The hotel rooms are big, clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable with the cotton bedding as smooth as silk and the pillows firm yet soft.

The service here cannot be beat. The free wifi and minibar is a value added as well as the free use of bicycles and splendid swimming pool…  Each staff member and manager goes out of their way to help and make you pleased. There are the most beautiful shops  and reasturants around the hotel, from a big Apple store to the adidas flagship to Uniqlo.

9. Aman at Summer Palace Beijing (颐和安缦)
It is an an Amanresorts property.  It’s very far from the heart of Beijing. But, as a site to escape the city for a few nights, and just rewind and take in some culture and beauftiful scenery, the location is super.

A basic suite is spacious, with half of an historic Chinese bungalow fronting on a courtyard. There is a dining area, a huge desk, a separate bedroom with a canopy bed, a dressing room with Ming furniture. Its really more like a very luxury home or club than a hotel. Amazing swimming pool, excellent staff, famous restaurants.

A boutique hotel, the hotel is nestled in the old hutong area in the the heart of Beijing with walking distance to Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing Street. Each of the hotel’s 14 rooms and the common areas are well mixed with original art, contemporary as well as ancient, in the décor adding to the charm of the traditional building.

Though it is hard to find, tt is easy walking through the hutong to get to a main street to catch a taxi or get on the subway. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are stunning and a great mix of modern and traditional. The courtyard is just beautiful! The rooms are lovely, very neat and clean.

 Plan your Beijing tourIf you don’t  want to spend lots of money on luxury accommodation, but still hope for a decent and comfy stay in Beijing while visiting Beijing, we’ve listed  the top 10 Beijing budget hotels for you to plan your short trip to Beijing.

1. Holiday In Express Temple of Heaven Beijing (北京前门富力智选假日酒店)
A great hotel with a Western feel. It is located approxi 400 meters to the east of the East Gate of Temple of Heaven (walking distance to the temple of Heaven).

The staff is very friendly, helpful and speak good English and. Breakfast is all right with a mix of western and Chinese enough to fill you up for one day sightseeing.Free wifi/ethernet internet with moderate speed is available for free with decent speeds. HBO/CNN Asia/BBC World are available, so there is something to watch by default as well. Grocery store down the street.

2. Days Inn Forbidden City (北京香江戴斯酒店)
The hotel is superly located next to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street and close to 2 subway stations: Wangfujing and Tiananmen East. Nanwanzi hutong (lane) is not very popular among the taxi drivers, but Nanheyan street where the alley is well known.

The services provided by the staff are good. The staff can speak English are quite helpful. The beds are a little  hard like most of Chinese hotels. Free Internet in the room helps a lot. Make sure you always bring the card from the hotel showing the hotel’s address in Chinese character.

The room is cleaned up everyday. Not too many stores nearby, but there is a store that is opened till late.

Orange Hotel Beijing is a hotel chain with 10 hotels in Beijing – Beijing Zhongguancun, Beijing Guanyuanqiao, Beijing Tianningsi, Beijing Wukesong, Beijing Wanjing, Beijing Xinzhimen, Beijing Jingsong Dong, Beijing Jingsong Xi, Beijing Asia Games Village and Beijing Shuijin Jianguo.

All the ten orange hotels are located in the major areas in Beijing, very convenient both for business and leisure travelers.All hotels are a no frills hotels. People are quite satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the toilet. The mattress is hard like what you would find in many hotels in China. Most of the chain hotels are cozy and modern.

4. Jade Garden Hotel (北京翠明庄宾馆)
The location of the hotel is super for those who want to visit the Forbidden city and Tianamen Square, both are within a ten minute walk.

The night market and Wangfujing are also very close by. The staff at the front desk are always helpful, informative, and willing to try to speak English with you.Rooms are clean, comfortable and the surrounding is all right. Very good western and chinese breakfast buffet. Free internet is very nice. The only drawback is the water flow in the shower.

5. Tianrui Beijing (天瑞酒店)
This hotel has a good location, a good value for the price.it is located in an authentic little hutong (narrow) with fruit sellers, shops and restaurants close to the front door. You can easily walk to Wangfujing, the Forbidden City, and Tienanmen Square.

The room is very big for Chinese, clean and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is plain but ok. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby is quite useful. A very good choice for travellers who want a clean and comfortable place to stay in Beijing.

The location is great within a 10 minute walk from a subway station as well as walking distance of several worthwhile sites in the city. It’s in the middle of the hutongs with walking distance to Lake Houhai and surrounding market streets, restaurants and bars.

Only a short taxi ride to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Make sure you have the location of the hotel in Chinese as it is a bit difficult to for some taxi drivers to find. The standard room is very clean, pretty and comfortable.

The bathroom is modern and clean. The large flat screen TV and computer with free internet are an added delight. The hotel has a courtyard surrounding full of greenery, very calm and peaceful.
