日本将于6月10日起重新开放团体旅游

日本首相岸田文雄周四证实，从6月10日起，日本将对外国游客重新开放固定行程和跟团旅游。

“人民之间的积极交流是经济和社会的基础。从下个月10日起，我们将重新开放跟团旅游，”他在东京举行的亚洲未来会议上表示。

从下个月开始，日本也将把每天的国际游客人数上限从1万人提高到2万人。另外，从6月开始，日本将在北海道新千岁机场和冲绳那霸机场迎接国际航班。

Japan To Reopen for Group Tours in June

Japan will reopen to foreign tourists participating in fixed itineraries and packaged tours starting June 10, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida confirmed on Thursday.

"Active exchanges between people are the foundation of the economy and society. From the 10th of next month, we will restart the admission of tourists on guided package tours," he said at the Future of Asia conference in Tokyo.

Japan will also raise its daily international arrivals cap from 10,000 to 20,000 beginning next month to accommodate these tourists. The country also plans to welcome back international flights at New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido and Naha Airport in Okinawa starting in June. （From travelweekly）

Cheap Flights Are Back Between London and New York

U.S. Airfares Up More Than a Third This Summer

Cowen & Co. analyst Helane Becker estimated in a report Friday that U.S. airfares are up roughly 34 percent compared to to last year. That’s a big jump and likely to climb higher as airlines continue to par back schedules. Delta Air Lines said Thursday that it would “thin” schedules over Memorial Day weekend and into August, including cutting roughly 100 daily flights from July 1 to August 7. Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines have already reactively cut schedules or updated guidance with fewer flights than they hoped to fly this summer.

“Demand is above 2019 levels, but capacity is still below 2019 levels,” Becker wrote. “We estimate it is ~90 percent of levels seen three years ago, and airlines continue to reduce capacity for this summer.”

World's fastest passenger jet goes supersonic in tests

The race to resume supersonic passenger flights nearly two decades after the retirement of Concorde was offered a glimmer of excitement on Monday when plane manufacturer Bombardier revealed high speed achievements while confirming the launch of its new business jet.

The Canadian company said the in-development Global 8000 will be "the world's fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet."

With a capacity for up to 19 passengers, a range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 kilometers) and a top speed of Mach 0.94, the upcoming plane is expected to enter service in 2025, according to a statement from Bombardier. (from CNN T r avel )
