Yulong River (遇龙河), about 7 km southwest of Yangshuo, is the largest tributary of Li River with a total length of 16 km starting from Jinlong Bridge and Yulong Bridge, ends at Gongnong Bridge, and emptying itself into Li River. The scenery along Yulong River is breathtaking. Yulong River is often regarded as a  smaller and quieter Li River.

Bamboo rafting from Jinlong Bridge and Yulong Bridge through Gongnong Bridge is the highlight of a leisure trip to Yangshuo. The whole bamboo rafting takes about 4 hours, which can also be cut into different boating courses – 1 hour and 2 hours rafting to suit your travel schedule. It is an interesting experience which can enrich your Guilin tour.

Sit down in a chair on a bamboo raft steered by a boatman, you will float with the current passing by the paddy fields flanked by undulating karst hills without any modern buildings; limpid water running down dams makes your rating exciting with a sense of adventure. You will raft under the Yulong Bridge, an over 600-year old built in Ming Dynasty ( 1368 -1644 ). You will also have a chance to view cormorants catching fishes.
