Will a taxi be available at Baiyun Airport (GZ) if our flight arrives at 1:30AM on Friday during the trade fair? Or should we better book in advance?

  4. Daniel says:

    Hello Gary,

Basically you don’t need to book your taxi since taxis are available 24 hours at Baiyun airport. Have a good time in Guangzhou!

  5. David says:

Is there an email address for complaints? I recall seeing one in a taxi (where it mentions that women and children are only allowed to sit in the front) but can’t seem to find it anywhere online.

  6. Daniel says:

    Hi David,

You may try to complain to Guangzhou Comsumer Commission.

    Hotline:020 12345
Email : gz315@gd315 ( I’m not quite sure if they will reply to you due to possible red tape )

  7. Macky says:

Hi! How much is taxi fare from Guangzhou airport to Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Foshan? Thank you

  9. Cheryl says:

Hi, How much is the taxi fare for 2 people from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to The Westin Shenzhen? Is there any particular color taxi we should take? Do we have to arrange it ahead of time? Our flight arrives at 4:35pm in the afternoon. How long do you think a taxi will take? Thank you so much!

  10. Daniel says:

    Hi Cheryl,

The taxi ride from Guangzhou airport to The Westin Shenzhen is about 146 km with taxi fare about 450 yuan ( about 75 US$ ). You don’t have to pre-book a taxi, just get to the correct official taxi stand at the airport and wait in line for your taxi ( just forget the “black” illegal taxis ! and go to the official taxi stand!). It takes about 2 hours.

I think there is an airport shuttle bus service between Guangzhou airport and Shenzhen. But you have to taxi from the your drop-off point in Shenzhen to your hotel in Shenzhen, a bit stressed, but money-saving. Have a good transfer!

  11. Mar says:

How much the taxi fare from Guangzhou to Dongguan for one person and what would be recommend & trust company.

  12. Beijing Tour says:

    Hi Mar,

The 70km taxi drive costs about 250 RMB. But we are not sure which taxi company is trusted. In most cases, the taxi service is very personal and individual. Even a trusted company can’t guarantee each individual taxi driver’ service.

Alternatively, you can take a high speed train from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Dongguan, which takes only 26 minutes, 50 RMB for first class seat.

  13. Mar says:

Could you please advise which the good and cheap private taxi company to pickup from Guangzhou Airport to the Hotel.

  14. Beijing Tour says:

    Hi Mar,

All the taxis have the same fixed rates using the same meters. Just hope you are lucky enoug to have a nice taxi driver.

  15. Somnaath says:

  21. Mick says:

I just had an altercation with a taxi driver, who does not have a working meter in his car, it showed zero throughout the trip even though it was engaged. I tried to give him the same amount as I paid to do the same journey one way, he wanted double saying that it was not necessary to use the meter after 5pm and he could charge what he wanted. It was about 5.30. Of course had I not known that his meter was not working I would never have got into the taxi. He then followed me into my hotel and stole my belongings.

I and my family members am going to arrive at Baiyun Airport at 2:35am on April 16th and I want to ask can we travel to Lilac International Suites at Tianhe District by train or should we travel by taxi? In the event that only taxi is available, I want to ask would it be crowded there at the taxi stops on such Sunday early morning? Lastly, Can you recommend to me, if there is, english speaking taxi companies that I can contact via (preferably) email or phone to make a reservation for our trip?

Thank you very much in advance. Looking foward to your kind reply.

    Tuong Nguyen

  40. Daniel says:

    Dear Tuong Nguyen,

    Thanks for your inquiry!

    1. By Subway
It is better to travel by train from Baiyun airport to your hotel. You take subway line 3 from the airport and get off at the station of Guangzhou East Station and exit from Exit 1 and walk to your hotel, 180 meters.

But your arrival at Guangzhou Baiyun airport is too early. The subway is not available.

    2. By taxi,
It is ok to take a taxi, about 120 yuan , 35km

    3. Private Transfer
How many of your traveling party? You may also book a private conmfortable transfer from the airport to your hotel, Check out the link below for more information:

    Hello Daniel,

Happy you are there to help. We need to go from Baiyun airport to Guangzhou east station ( Train to HK) on april 12th early morning (8h30 am). We will be 4 adults with some big luggage. Do you advise to take a taxi? What would price from Baiyun to Guangzhou east sation? Is price for one drive ( all 4 passengers) or for each passenger? Thank you for your help.

  44. Daniel says:

    Hi stephane,

The taxu fare for a single ride from Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou East Railway Station is about 110 yuan ( approx. 35km ).

You’ better take two taxis since one taxi basically cannot hold all the big luggage taken by you four.

Have a nice time in Guangzhou!
