History: Xuzhou’s history could be traced back to 6,000 years ago, when our ancestors once lived and product at the area. At the end of primitive communes, Xuzhou was one of the nine states. It is always a notable battlefield from ancient dynasties. Xuzhou was the hometown of Liu Bang, the emperor of Han Dynasty, when Xuzhou was named Pengcheng. During the Song Dynasty, Xuzhou became barren because the Yellow River changed channel lower Huai River tributary.
Climate: Under the influence of semi-humid monsoon climate, Xuzhou has four distinctive seasons. The annual average temperature is 14℃ with cool, dry winters, warm springs, long, hot and humid summers, and crisp autumns. Precipitation takes up 56% of the annual total, mainly concentrating from June to August.
Transportation: Air-Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport is the largest and most advanced airport in Huaihai Economic Zone, offering domestic airlines to Beijing, Shanghai, Hongkong, Taibei, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Kunming, Haikou, Chengdu, Dalian, Xiamen, Wenzhou, Harbin and international airline to Southeast Asia, Japan, Russia, North America, etc.
Railway-Xuzhou is one of the most important transport hubs in China. It has two railway stations. Xuzhou Railway Station, situated in the city center, proving trains is the interchange station of Jinghu Railway, Longhai Railway and Hasan Railway. Xuzhou East Railway Station is the hub of express railway.
Highway- Xuzhou has three coach stations: Coach Central Station, Coach South Station and Coach East Station.

Attractions: Xuzhou Han Culture Spots- Xuzhou is well-known for its heritage and cultural relics for the Han Culture. Xuzhou Han Culture Sports (徐州汉文化景区) is a place concentrating the distillation of Han culture. Covering an area of over 1,400 mu, Xuzhou Han Culture Spots sweep up the “three treasures of Han Dynasty” including Han Tomb, Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses of Han Dynasty, as well as Stone Sculpture of Han Dynasty.
Xuzhou Museum- Xuzhou Museum (徐州博物馆) is situated in the north foot of Yulong Mountain, which was the old site of imperial palace of Qinlong Emperor during his inspecting South China originally. Covering an area of 23,000 square meters, Xuzhou Museum contains a four-storey exhibition building, the temporary imperial palace of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the Han Tombs.
