Location: Shiwei (室韦) is the most northern town of Inner Mongolia.

Nationalities: It is the only Russian nationality town in China.
History: Shiwei town is small but has a long history. According to the record, Shiwei tribe inhabited this area on fishing and hunting as far back as Sui and Tand Dynasty. In Qing Dynasty (1908), Jilalin Governing Council was set up to manage a set of administrative affairs. In 1920, Shiwei County was formed.
Transportation: The coach to Shiwei could be available in Eerguna, departed at 9:30 in the morning.

Local Food: Dining in Shiwei feature Russian style, such as Dalieba, Sour cuke, Ximidan, etc.
Attractions: Shiwei, as a small riverfront border town, faces Russia on the opposite shore. It is the only Russian town in China, where the residents carry a Chinese-Russian bloodline. Small as it is, Shiwei boasts vast and picturesque grassland and forest as well as a unique and fascinating culture, which attracts quite a lot of tourists.
