We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Fengjing Butyl Stumbles

Shanghai Fengjing Butyl Stumble(枫泾丁蹄) is a traditional dish of Han people in Shanghai. It is an important part of Shanghai culture. "Feng Jing" is a small town in Jinshan District of Shanghai, formerly known as "white cow village." According to legend, there is a Scholar whose surname was Chen in Song Dynasty, a former magistrate of Sanyin County. After being dismissed from office, he lived here. Because he had a sharp sense of integrity all his life, after his death, people renamed the white cow village where he lived "Qingfeng Jing" and then also known as "Fengjing."

"Fengjing Butyl Stumbles" related to the "Ding Yixing hotel" in the town. In the years of Qing Emperor Xianfeng, there are two brothers surnamed Ding opened a place called "Ding Yixing" hotel in this town.
