History: 1901, Dongqing Railway was completed. A railway station was set up in Msnzhouli, originally named ‘Mazhouria’ in Russia. It was the beginning of Mazhouli city. Mazhouli was labeled as a trading center in the Sino-Japanese Treaty of 1905, which contributed the growth of the city greatly.In 1907, Manzhouli established a trading port formally and Manzhouli customs was set up in 1908. in 1927, Manzhouli was designed as a city.
Climate: With a semi-arid temperate continental climate, Manzhouli features very cold and long winter with temperature of -40℃. Compared to other cities, the summer in Manzhouli is cooler with an average temperature of 20℃.
Transportation: Air-Manzhouli Xijiao Airport is situated in the western part of Manzhouli, serving flights to Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Hohhot, as well as the Russian city of Chita.
Railway-Passengers can take tourist line to Chita, Krasnokamensk, Irkutsk and Ulan Ude at Manzhouli Railway Station. International trains from Beijing to Moscow stop at Manzhouli Raiwlay Station.
Highway-State Road 301 passes through Manzhouli, linked Inner Mongolia to cities of Heilongjiang.
