History: Fuxin has profound history and primitive civilization. It was praised as the “hometown of Jade Dragon” as a result of the excavation of “the first jade in the world “ and “the first dragon in China”. As early as 7,600 years ago, human being once inhabited in this area. The name of “Fuxin” began in 1903, Qing Daynasty, when Guangxu Emperor set up Fuxin County. In 1940, it upgraded for city-level.

Highway-Chaoyang Coach Station offers long-distant buses to majors cities in the province and outside such as Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, Chifeng, Chengde, Yingkou, Panjin, Jinzhou, Jinzhou Port, Huludao, Liaoyang, Fuxin, etc.

Attractions: Chaoyang Bird Fossil National Geopark (朝阳鸟化石国家地质公园) -Occupying an area of 70 hectares, the park consist of Shangheshou Paleontology Fossil Zone, Sihetun Paleontology Fossil Zone, Lingyuan Dazhangzi Zone, Fenghuang Mountain and Pagoda-tree Cave Scenic Area. The park is rich in the paleontology fossils of Mesozoic Era, so far, the earliest bird and blooming plants were discovered at the region.
