History: In the early period of Qing Dynasty, Daqing had always been a hunting ground of Mongolian. Saertu Railway Station was set up when Russia constructed the Chinese Eastern Railway in 1898. Until 1959, Nov., 25th, oil was discovered in the region. In 1979, it was named Daqing with the mean of “Great Celebration”.

Highway- Highways in Daiqing lead into all directions. National Road 301, Daqing-Harbin enclosed Highway and Mingshui-Shenyang Highway run through Daqing city. Daqing has two long-distant bus stations: Daqing Long-distant Bus Station and Daqing South Long-distant Bus Station.
Waterway-Surrounded by Songhuajiang River and Nen River, water transport in Daqing is straight in mirror port through the golden waterway of Songhuajiang River.
Local Food: Fish Banquet is a must in your Daqing travel. Sanhua Wuluo is the representation of Daqing cuisine. Sanhua refers to mandarin fish, Changchun bream and crucian. Wuluo is the collective name of Hucho taimen, Megalobrama terminals, Leuciscus waleckii, Yaluo Fish, Huluo Fish and Tongluo Fish.
