Description: Korean nationality (朝鲜族) in China, also named “Chaoxian”, mainly distributes in Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning. According to the 6th census in 2010, Korean nationality has a population of 1,830,000 in total, among which in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture it amounts to 770,000. The current Korean people in China are primary descendants of those who immigrated from Korean Peninsula between 1860 and 1945.

According to the convention, two person who are close relative, clansman or have the same surname are not allowed to get married.
Arts and Culture: Korean people are all good at both dancing and singing. They like to express the feel by song and dance whether on festivals or in free time. Wrestling is the ancient sport and entertainment. Play football is popular to Korean people. They have their own football team from villages to counties.
Yanbian has became the well-known “home of football”. Playing swing and springboard are favorite entertainment to femel. They attaché importance to education.
