Plan your Tianjin tour<\/span><\/a>? Don’t miss boating on Haihe River! As you know, Tianjin lies on the downstreams of nine rivers with crisscross river courses, hence the name of Water City in Northern China. The 72km Haihe River\u00a0flows through the city of Tianjin and emptifies itself into the Bohai Sea\u00a0at Tanggu of New Binhai District<\/span><\/a> in Tianjin.<\/span><\/p>\n

After all-round revamping and redevelopment, Haihe River has been beautified as a sightseeing and bsiness belt. Crusing on Haihe River gives you a chance to enjoy the spectacular views on the both sides of the river lined with historical buildings, modern highrises, hotels, shopping centers, restaurants and recreation units.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now 20 pleasure boats run every day with three boating routes. The pleasure boats are operated by Tianjin Haihe River Boat Co.,Ltd. It started the Haihe River Cruise service on July 13, 2009. At the time of my writing, it operates three cruising routes with three ferry terminals. Below is the Timetable for Haihe River Boating:<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s boat on Haihe River!<\/span><\/p>\n

We are boarding the boat from the ferry terminal of Tianjin Ancient Cutural Street. The Ancient Cultural Street is located in the northeast of Nankai District with its east adjacent to Zhang Zizhong Road along the Haihe River. This is Ancient Cultural Street Terminal.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the stern of the boat, there is a staircase leading to the open deck of the boat with a fantastic views of the lit sights on both sides of the river.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We are passing under Yongle Bridge, over which the Eye of Tianjin (Ferris Wheel) is built. It has a diameter of 110 meters with 48 cabinets which can accommodate 384 persons at the same time. Visitoirs can enjoy the sights within 40km radius when the cabinet is rotated at the highest point, nearly the height of a 35-storey building. It is the only ferris wheel built on a bridge in the world. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is a stone boat known as Tianshifang (Sky Stone Boat) with 40 meters long and 6 meters wide, designed in the shape of a floating baot. It tells a story of an army crossing the Haihe River in Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644).<\/span><\/div>\n

Haihe River Waterfront Terrace is located alongside the Ancient Cultural Street. A variety of folk events\u00a0are held regularly in the place.\u00a0<\/span>This is Beian Bridge,\u00a0a replica of the Pont Alexandre III over the Seine in Paris.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jinwan Plaza is surrounded by the Haihe River to the east and north with buildings typical of moder Chinese and western styles. It is a high-level international business areas with elegant and trendy taste.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
