His ancestral name is Gongsun and his given name Xuanyuan. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">It is said that he reigned from 2696\u20132598 BC. He is&nbsp;considered&nbsp;as the initiator of Chinese civilization &#8211; invented weapons, the wells and fields system; upper and lower garments, established palaces and houses, early Chinese astronomy, the Chinese calendar, math calculations, code of sound laws&#8230;<\/span>etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get to Huangdi Mausoleum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Huangdi Mausoleum is nestled at the foot of Qiaoshan Mountain. Instead, you will be dropped by the roadside of the&nbsp;National Highway 210 close to Huangling County. I take a local private car from the roadside\u00a0of the\u00a0National Highway 210 where I have been abandoned by the bus from Yan&#8217;an to Xian. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">I&#8217;m quite lucky to find a car parking for business. The car fare is RMB 15 for\u00a0the 5km ride. Huangling County used to be a two-horse town, now mainly due to the site of Huangling Mausoleum, the town has been developing fast with many modern buildings. Lots of buses run between Huangling County and Xian, no need for prebooking the bus ticket for Xian. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After depositing my suitcase at the bus station, I walk towards to Mt.Qiaoshan in the north of Huangling County. A concrete bridge spans a man-made lake dug\u00a0at its front. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walk across the bridge, continue to climb a dozens of steps before\u00a0I reach\u00a0the gate of Xuanyuan Temple. It is said that the square can accommodate 100,000 people with a construction area of 13200 square meters. Soon you come to the electric bus terminal. For\u00a0a small amount of money, RMB20, you will enjoy a round trip battery car ride. It takes you to the so called \u201csecond parking lot\u201d, from which you still need to walk about 20 minutes before you get to the tomb of Huangdi. Don\u2019t lose your ticket. A brick framed tablet at the front is inscribed with the four Chinese characters &#8220;\u6865\u5c71\u9f99\u9a6d&#8221; ( Longyu on Bridge Hill), which means the place where the Yellow Emperor&#8217;s
