Plan your China tour<\/a><\/span><\/strong>? It is advisable to have some basic knowledge of the working hours and business hours in China to better prepare for your trip.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The Chinese government\u00a0regulates that Chinese people work 8 hours a day with five working days a week\u00a0and\u00a0a maximum\u00a044 working hours a week.\u00a0In China,\u00a0business hours are generally set between 9:00am and 6:00pm. But typical business hours vary\u00a0by different working units and regions.<\/p>\n

<\/span>For government offices, the working hours are often fixed from 8:00am to 5;00pm from Monday to Friday;\u00a0<\/span>Hospitals, banks and post offices are open from 08:30-09:30 to 16:00-18:00. But hospital clinics\u00a0offer 24 hours service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of the hotels also\u00a0provide 24 hours service to any tenants.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Shops,\u00a0department stores and supermarkets are\u00a0open daily\u00a0from 09:00-10:00 to 21:30 – 22:00, including public holidays and festivals.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Most restaurants are open from 10:00 to 22:00 late night, some even into small hours.<\/span><\/div>\n

Apart from the normal day off (Saterday and Sunday), Chinese people also enjoy non-working China public holidays<\/span> with salaries as below:<\/p>\n

Duan Wu (Dragon Boat) Festival (5th of the 5th month of the lunar year ) one day off
