<\/span>Wuyi Palace\u00a0Scenic Area
\n<\/span><\/strong>Wuyi Palace Scenic Area is one of\u00a0the core attration areas in Mount Wuyi\u00a0Scenic Area. The other core scenic areas in Wuyi Mountains are “Heavenly Tour Peak<\/span> <\/a>– Nine Bend River Rafting<\/a><\/span>” Area, “Roaring Tiger Rock<\/span> <\/a>– A Thread of Sky<\/a><\/span>” Area and “Water Curtain Cave<\/span> <\/a>– Da Hong Pao<\/a><\/span>” Area.
\n<\/span>The main attractions at\u00a0Wuyi Palace Scenic Area are the\u00a03000-meter Song Dynasty Street,\u00a0Mount Wuyi\u00a0Museum, Sanqing Hall, Great King Peak, Manting Peak, Lion Peak, Huangu Rock, Sangu Rock,\u00a0Chucius Memorial Hall (a famous scholar and philosopher in Song Dynasty) and Liuyong Memorial Hall ( a well known poet ). It is a scenic area which\u00a0mingles natural landscape, gardening, architecture, history and culture.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Wuyi Palace Scenic Area is located at the foot of Dawang Peak ( Great King Peak),\u00a0next to the first\u00a0bend of Nine Bend Rive<\/a>r<\/span>.\u00a0Cuy by Chongyang Stream<\/span>,<\/a> Wuyi Palace\u00a0Scenic Area is just opposite Wuyi\u00a0National Holiday Resort<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/span><\/span>Usually people will visit Wuyi Palace Scenic Area after bamboo rafting on the Nine Bend River since Wuyi Palace Scenic Area is just next to the finishing point for the bamboo rafting.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Visiting Wuyi Palace Scenic Area takes approx. 1-2 hours. Often people would put Nine Bend River Rafting and Wuyi Palace Scenic Area on a half day tour.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Wuyi Palace itself
\n<\/strong>Wuyi Palace was first built in the Tianbao years (742-755) during the Tang dynasty.\u00a0The Wuyi Palace is the oldest Taoist palace in the Wuyi Mountains a place of sacrificial offering for the Spirit Lord of Wuyi Mountains by the emperors in all the\u00a0dynasties. It was also one of the famous six palaces of Taoism in Song Dynasty.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>In Song dynasty, the <\/span>Wuyi Palace was expanded to accommodate\u00a0over 300 halls in the Song Dynasty. In mid autumn every year, sacrificial\u00a0ceremonies would be held in honor of Lord <\/span>Wuyi and the Venerable Royal Lady.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past Wuyi Palace\u00a0was repaired in different dynasties. After several fires, man made damages and the wars, there are now only a few empty rooms left. The two cherry bays of 800-900 years old in the yard\u00a0are still alive\u00a0left\u00a0from Song Dynasty.\u00a0All round revamp of Wuyi Palace is on the swing with the fast development of tourism in Mount Wuyi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wuyi Palace is locally regarded as a place –\u00a0the entrance to the core of Wuyishan Scenic Area. Usually visitors would come to Wuyi Palace to take\u00a0shuttle buses to different attractions since Wuyi Palace is just next to the Shuttle Bus Terminal.<\/p>\n

<\/span>So very often “<\/span>Wuyi Palace” is equivalent to the “Starting Point for visiting <\/span>Wuyishan Scenic Area”. In the morning, if people are going to <\/span>Wuyi Palace, most\u00a0probably they will take the shuttle bus at <\/span>Wuyi Palace and start their whole <\/span>sightseeing, not exactly visit <\/span>Wuyi Palace at that <\/span>particular time.<\/p>\n
