Plan your\u00a0 Wuyishan Tour<\/span><\/a><\/span>? <\/strong><\/span>As a civil and military airport, Wuyishan Airport is located midway between Wuyishan City\u00a0( 9km north of the airport ) and Wuyishan National Holiday Resort ( 7km south of the airport ).<\/p>\n

Most travelers would like to stay in the hotels in Wuyishan National Holiday Resort since Wuyishan Scenic Area is on the west bank of Chongyang Stream just\u00a0opposite Wuyishan Scenic Area. It is very easy for you to walk, or take a taxi or a tricycle to the entrance to the scenic area across Chongyang Stream from the holiday resort.<\/p>\n

Wuyishan Airport was first built in 1958 as a military airport. With the rapid development of the local tourism, Wuyishan Airport was expanded since October 1992. The civil Wuyishan Airport began to be\u00a0put into operation on Jan 15, 1994.<\/p>\n

Now Wuyishan Airport is a 4 Class civil airport with a yearly capacity of handling around 500,000. Wuyishan Airport has a 2400 meter long runway with\u00a0an airport ramp or apron of 18,000 square meters, accommodating Boeing 737 and MD-82, mid-sized airplanes.<\/p>\n

Wuyishan Airport is an all year round airport, well linked with 27 cities and regions in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macao, Shezhen, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Changchun, Shenyang, Dalian, Tianjin, Jinan, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Zhengzhou, Xian, Haikou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Jingjiang, zhoushan, Kunming and etc.<\/p>\n

Wuyishan Airport Terminal Building
\n<\/strong><\/span>Wuyishan Airport has two terminal buildings – Domestic Terminal and International Terminal. The International Terminal looks shabby and lacks in maintenance since there are very few international flights. So when I visited Wuyishan Airport, only the domestic terminal was active.<\/p>\n

Wuyishan Taxi Fares:
\n\u2022RMB\u00a010 just for the first 5km
\n\u2022RMB2 with each additional km beyond 5km<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In some cases, the taxi drivers would like to bargain with you for the destination you are going. Usually from airport to Wuyishan National Holiday Resort, the taxi fare will be approxi.\u00a0RMB 30<\/p>\n

Wuyishan Airport Bus<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

There are no airport shuttle buses connecting either Wuyishan National Holiday Resort and Wuyishan City. But you can make use of the Public Bus No.6 or No.5\u00a0running between Wuyishan City and Wuyishan National Holiday Resort.<\/p>\n

You just walk about 5 minutes to the main avenue – Wuyi Avenue. By the Wuyi Avenue, you can easily hail the Bus No.6 or No.5 either for Wuyishan City or Wuyishan National Holiday Resort for the bus fare of RMB 3.<\/p>\n
